Casa de Pierogi Story

The story of Casa de Pierogi began on March 15, 2020, when pandemic was announced and everyone had to find their own, sometimes new path. Kinga Przybysz, a 25-year-old Polish woman, came to Puerto Escondido to start a new phase of her life. She arrived with the idea that she would be working – as it was her profession – in a surfing school, but when the beaches got closed due to the pandemic, she quickly found another way to deal with this unpredictable situation. While cooking at home, she decided to start a home delivery business. After succesful 6 months of this new venture, a somewhat crazy – for the times of the pandemic – family decision was made: We are opening a restaurant!

Six weeks passed from the idea to its implementation, and on November 16, 2020, Casa de Pierogi served for the first time Polish pierogi, European food and European beers to its guests. It quickly transpired that we hit a bull’s eye and a bigger team of employees was needed to meet the expectations of our guests.

Today our team is: Kinga – founder of Casa de Pierogi, her mother Barbara Grünberg and chef Jesus Garcia.

If you want to eat well, be nicely served, drink a good beer and talk about a movie, this place is for you! We invite you 6 days a week, Tuesday – Sunday 12 – 11 pm.
